Join our Farm-to-Table Harvest Dinner at Sedgwick Reserve: A special event to benefit the UC Santa Barbara Natural Reserve System and Sedgwick Reserve.

Prepare yourself for an afternoon and evening of adventure into the backcountry of Santa Barbara that will end with a feast at one of our most treasured natural places. Join us as we transport you from Santa Barbara/Goleta (or come on your own) to the Santa Ynez Valley to spend the late afternoon and evening enjoying the amazing physical beauty of the iconic Sedgwick Reserve. Walking tours, local history, fine Valley wines and a gourmet dining experience highlighting the Valley’s local growers await you!

Highlights

Harvest Dinner

Chef Jeff Olsson and New West Catering have prepared a special dinner featuring some of the region’s premier farms including Nojoqui Farms, Garden Of Los Olivos, Sage Hill Farm and others. Chef Olsson will speak briefly during dinner on his approach to cooking in a way that highlights Santa Barbara County’s incredibly diverse agricultural bounty.

Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards/Santa Barbara Vintners

A representative of Zaca Mesa will discuss the evening’s wines and their philosophy on growing grapes in Santa Barbara County. Guests will be treated to wines from Zaca Mesa as well as an assortment of wines provided by Rusack Vineyards and Santa Barbara Vintners.

Rick Rosenthal

Joining us at Sedgwick Reserve is renowned nature photographer and marine biologist Rick Rosenthal. Rick and his team will be presenting never
before seen video footage from Sedgwick Reserve and the Santa Barbara Channel and will highlight some of the impacts now being witnessed as a result of El Niño.
